Yes, GCA is accredited through the Midsouth Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) and Cognia https://www.cognia.org/services/accreditation-certification/. The MAIS network of 120 schools currently boasts an enrollment of over 40,000 students, and these schools directly employ over 6,000 citizens and provide a customer base for countless other businesses.
The community of member schools stretches across Mississippi and into Arkansas, Louisiana, and Tennessee. Staff and students build relationships through athletic and academic competitions. MAIS offers support and encouragement to administrators, teachers, and coaches through conferences and seminars throughout the year. New administrators are offered coaching and specific training through the MAIS Summer Leadership Institute. MAIS offers opportunities for professional development to school administrators, faculty, and staff at various times throughout the year.
GCA has enrichment classes which can change each year. However, music, art, PE, and library are standard each year. In addition, we have offered computer skills, archery, and Intro to Spanish to enhance the academic program. The students can participate in reading fairs, the spelling bee. and other competitions through the MAIS network.
