Yes, GCA is accredited through the Midsouth Association of Independent Schools (MSAIS) and Cognia https://www.cognia.org/services/accreditation-certification/. The MAIS network of 130+ schools currently boasts an enrollment of over 40,000 students, and these schools directly employ over 6,000 citizens and provide a customer base for countless other businesses.
The community of member schools stretches across Mississippi and into Arkansas, Louisiana, and Tennessee. Staff and students build relationships through athletic and academic competitions. MSAIS offers support and encouragement plus opportunities for professional development to administrators, teachers, and coaches through conferences and seminars at various times throughout the year.
Gateway Christian Academy of Pascagoula has enrichment classes which can change each year with art, music, PE, and library as standards. In addition, we have offered computer skills, drama, archery, and Intro to Spanish to enhance the academic program. The students can participate in the local, district, and overall reading fairs, spelling bees, and other competitions through the MAIS network.
